I just noticed this the other day on iTunes; it almost threw me off.

Not unusual though, similar story with Brenda Holloway's "Spellbound" for example.

That's a shame. The Kent release has such a great cover.

I believe it to be that the original albums were licensed out to other labels with Universal keeping the download rights - they would not however have the rights to the artwork.

I figured it had to be a rights issue, Paul. Still, it's a shame they didn't license the Kent artwork. It's so much better. But, I guess you don't really look at that when you have your tracks on an mp3 player or a computer.

I agree with you Thom! Not the best photo choice for cover art [[her lack of pre-Motown success dental work is sadly front and center), but I guess the ultimate idea is "how often does one stare at cover art when you've downloaded the music...?" [[I'm speaking more to the idea of a non-collector, I guess.)

Hey Paul do you know if there are still any unreleased tracks by Rita during this time frame?

Syreeta appears to be styled the same, though it doesn’t look like the same photo session.

Love the alternate photo of the Contours!

Although not as good as the originals, I like the alternate covers!! And good to see the music being released digitally as well

It never occurred to me before, but doesn’t Dennis Edwards look like James Brown in the original cover photo? Especially his hair!
