Da Doo Ron Ron by The Supremes

Someone referenced this song on another message board I visit, and it got me thinking: Did The Supremes ever do a cover? I think it would've made a good song for them to sing as a harmony or with Flo on lead.

I don't think so. If they did, it was never released.

They didn't Da Doo Ron Ron but they did Run Run Run so maybe that's where the confusion lies....

As far as I know, no Motown act has ever recorded it, but Martha & The Vandellas have recorded "Then He Kissed Me"

Martha & the Vandellas also did "Wait 'Til My Bobby Gets Home", but Phil Spector productions didn't make for great cover
    versions anyway.
"Run, Run, Run" by the Supremes was actually done to try to get a Spector-type sound.

Quite a few artists recorded Things Are Changing with the exact same backing track produced by Spector. The Blossoms
    also did it too.

As was "Too Hurt to Cry, Too Much in Love to Say Goodbye" by the Marvelettes, oops I mean the Darnells. Amazing to think with Gladys Horton's distinctive voice on lead, that they actually thought they might fool someone into thinking it wasn't the Marvelettes!
