    When I was kid, Aretha was like my Mom's and her friends High Priestess. LOL! I mean they were into Aretha. I remember hearing them talk back to her records whenever she'd sing something that struck a personal chord with them. Everything from "sing girl" to "that's right" to simply "well" LOL! Aretha and her music was so influential in the late sixties that if she had sang, "now go in there ,shoot your man and jump out the window", more than few women would have done it! LOL!
