Cute story I like it
Glad to see Bruno so interested in a legend. Stephanie Mills once remarked that she felt like a lot of the new crop entertainers didn't pay proper respect to the living legends the way her generation once did. No surprise that Bruno is not a part of such a group. And what a testament to Mary's legendary status- despite the background singer title some folks want to relegate her to- that a star of Bruno's capacity wanted to connect with her. Mary Wilson...proving that a Supreme's star never diminishes.
I like Bruno Mars music.
Bruno Mars is an exceptional talent.
Cool story!
I missed the connection. The article is about how Bruno Mars and Mary Wilson did NOT meet, right? It's odd that an article would chronicle how the two were a "wall away" from one another and did not meet.
The connection was virtual. From the article: "After the pair unsuccessfully tried to set up a meeting “through intermediaries,” Wilson, who took the stage on Saturday, sent an autographed copy of her memoir “Dreamgirl: My Life as a Supreme” to Mars, who we’re told was glad to get it."
I can hear him saying, "Mary who?"
He certainly would have had time for Diana.
Bruno's very first record deal was with......get ready...Motown!..look it up..they couldn't sell him either..and then he found a new home..
