Rank Diana's Return to Motown projects--Favorite to least favorite

The Take Me Higher 30th thread gave me idea to start a separate discussion asking y'all to rank Diana's Return to Motown projects from Favorite to least favorite. Here's my list--I'm keeping it focused on music related projects but if you want to add movies or a certain book to your list go ahead. How would you rate Diana's projects from 1989 to 1999?

    1. Stolen moments
    2. Force Behind the Power
    3. Christmas in Vienna
    4. Every Day is a New Day
    5. Take Me Higher
    6. Box set New songs
    7. Workin' Overtime

I'm not really into remixes so not ranking Diana Extended.

i'm throwing a broader net and including motown released from 1988 onwards. ees i realize she was gone for some of these but I'm going to include it anyway. but i am excluding EMI-only releases. and didn't include Vienna since it's Sony. it would have come after Force.

    1. Blue
    2. every day
    3. take me higher
    4. stolen moments - only reason it's this low is that i just don't listen to it much. but it is delightful
    5. sings song from the wiz
    6. special season
    7. Force
    8. voice of love
    9. workin overtime
    10. forever
    11. Extended

I wouldn't rate Blue as a Return to Motown project. She recorded those songs in the early 70s. Motown didn't release it then. It was finally released after she had been dropped from the label in 2000. The album was an archival release of vaulted material that Motown owned the masters of.

A more suitable list to include Blue on would be a list of favorite to least favorite Diana Ross related archival releases this century.

yeah i know - i purposely sort of threw the net pretty wide. and since the album is so stunning i decided to just break the rules and keep it in the list lol

And i did have Vienna in the list but then realized it was released on Sony so i did cut it. so i guess my list is sort of "all motown releases starting in 1989"

I agree about Blue - it ranks with her best albums and I think I play cuts from it the most of any of her work.

I wasn’t sure what Vienna was released on. It’s been too long.

But I darn near included I Love You

Although not released in the time frame SL mentions, i have come to appreciate “I Love You” a lot more with the passing of the years.
I enjoy its heart felt simplicity, with Diana’s lower vocal range lending the songs her life experience.
When first released in 2006 i think most fans were eager for a contemporary offering, but now nine years later i think it sits well within her discography.

i made a playlist of Supremes/DR MOR and pulled all the various concept albums, some of the live tracks, etc. Fun to change things up while driving to work

of course all of Stolen Moments is on the playlist and several tunes have popped up in the shuffle. while a very specific set list, it really is truly spectacular. her voice is just crystal perfect and spot on pitch. the band and Gil are magical. yes it's clearly a whole album of live jazz and that may or may not be your thing. but can't deny the artistry and talent taking place here

Voice of love ,would have been a choice but it was rather short.
Didn't it only have six songs.
