As a lot of you know, America is experiencing the Great De-churching, many people choosing to no longer go to church. There are many reasons for this, but one that pops up over and over again is politics, and political leaders taking their political beliefs into the church. For a large number of people, this is a big turn-off. Political leaders, mostly Conservatives and Republicans, see the church as a great way of getting votes; promising a congregation what ever it wants is a good way to get them to vote for you. However, this is doing far more damage than they know. Here's one of, if not the worst offenders.

And yes, this shit is truly out there.

The Orange Anus gave a short speech yesterday, the first since his conviction, and nothing changed, he cited the same lies that have become part of his repertoire... except he rambled. Some networks carried it live, and then cut it off. The AP called it rambling, and the word was used my many to describe the word salad he spit out. Conservatives across the board are in what the Washington Examiner called Denialism, though they were trying to describe Democrats. How's that for the kettle calling the kettle black. One thing most people aren't talking about is the silence coming from Nikki Haley. Is there a roar of hushed whispers in the background that no one is hearing?

Possum Hollar Wants To Speak To A Manager

The followers of disgraced once-elected [[kinda?), twice impeached, quintuply-indicted, 80-something-ily charged CONVICTED FELON and rapist ex-prznit stupid hisself Donald J. Trump are clamoring for vengeance, you know, as long as someone else does it:
I, for one, am shocked. Shocked, I say.
Advance Democracy, a non-profit that conducts public interest research, said there has been a high volume of social media posts containing violent rhetoric targeting New York Judge Juan Merchan and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, including a post with Bragg's purported home address. The group also found posts of the purported addresses of jurors on a fringe internet message board known for pro-Trump content and harassing and violent posts, although it is unclear if any actual jurors had been correctly identified.
The posts, which have been reviewed by NBC News, appear on many of the same websites used by Trump supporters to organize for violence ahead of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. These forums were hotbeds of threats inspired by Trump's lies about the 2020 election, which he lost, and that the voting system was "rigged" against him. They now feature new threats echoing Trump's rhetoric and false claims about the hush money trial, including that the judicial system is now "rigged" against him.
"Dox the Jurors. Dox them now," one user wrote after Trump's conviction on a website formerly known as "The Donald," which was popular among participants in the Capitol attack. [[That post appears to have been quickly removed by moderators.)
"Someone else Dox them." Got it, Rambo.
But it's like playing whack-a-mole at the carnival, another drooling mouth breather will alway show up to encourage the next mouth breather to take one for the team, as it were.
"We need to identify each juror. Then make them miserable. Maybe even suicidal," wrote another user on the same forum. "1,000,000 men [[armed) need to go to washington and hang everyone. That's the only solution," wrote another user. "This s— is out of control."
"One bazillion armed men, not named me!," he did not say.
"I hope every juror is doxxed and they pay for what they have done," another user wrote on Trump's Truth Social platform Thursday. "May God strike them dead. We will on November 5th and they will pay!"
Now they are ordering Dawg Almighty to put out a hit. I don't think it works that way. Can someone check on that for me, please, 'cause I got a little list and none of them'll be missed if Dawg comes through for me.

The Orange Anus was convicted on 34 counts of shit-doery and the Republican party has decided to splash spite all over America. In case you hadn't heard, there are 8 Senators who are now refusing to advance any bill, any nomination, in fact anything going through the Senate. While this may be titillating the hell out of their grudgeful base, America is watching, and remembering, and this November America is going to go to the polls. When they lose their elections, they're going to whine and complain that the elections were fraught with fraud. They will stick to that lie because it's the only thing that keeps their dark, little hearts beating. Trump will continue to kill the Republican party long after he's out of the picture. This is their own doing. Perhaps they shouldn't have been so desperate to say "Shut up! We're in charge!"

I did see some sort of bunga bunga about Mikey Johnson calling on the Supreme Court to overturn Trump's conviction. Hahahaha [[evil laugh again). While the Cracker Jack Crazy branch would love to do such a thing, they don't really have that kind of power, still, Mikey does know what the Cultists want to hear. What's even more funny is that Christian Nationalists have convinced themselves they're doing this for the God they've designed. You know who I'm talking about, the deity who created the Universe. Unfortunately, their universe is defined not in size, but by what they can grasp and control. Religious zealots have always had this problem, the ability to actually comprehend, which is why they're working so hard to keep people stupid.

Stormy Daniels, asking Melanie to leave her crooked husband—not because he f*cked a porn star but because he’s a convicted felon:
“I don’t know what their agreement may or may not be, but Melania needs to leave him. Not because of what he did with me or other women but because he is a convicted felon. It’s been proven he is abusive; he was found liable for sexual assault and tax fraud and is now a criminal. He’s neither Teflon Don nor Teflon Con anymore.”
Yeah, I imagine Melanie has had a team of lawyers rewriting her prenup every other day to make sure she gets more and more coins the longer he stays with Hair Furor.
Kevin Maxen, the Jacksonville Jaguars strength coach, celebrating his first Pride since coming out last summer:
“Today I get to celebrate the start of my first Pride Month, as open and true to myself as I possibly could be. With all the fear and concern regarding LGBTQ inclusion in sports, I was very worried about how I would be welcomed and viewed by my peers, but after publicly coming out before the start of training camp this past summer, the Jaguars proved to me that no matter what, who, or how you identify, you are supported, loved and valued.”
The Jaguars were one of the first pro sports teams to share a pro-LGBTQ Pride Month message on June 1; even team owner Shad Khan said:
“Kevin is a Jacksonville Jaguar through and through, and a key member of our football team and community. I look forward to seeing Kevin next week at training camp and hope that he comes to work each day during camp and through the season feeling confident, free and at peace.”
It’s doubtful the Jaguars would have been this on-top of Pride Month without an out coach.
Adam Schiff, California Democrat Representative, on Hair Furor’s daughter-in-law minion, Lara and her whines about the trial:
“Well, first, in terms of Lara _____’s interview, and her complaining about the case being tried in New York before New York jury, if you don’t want to be tried in front of a New York jury, then maybe don’t commit so many crimes in New York City. It’s pretty simple. And that jury was selected in part by [Hair Furor] and his attorneys. They vetted each of the jurors. He had every right that every other criminal defendant has in that courtroom. And they found—this ordinary jury of peers found him guilty on every single count. So if you don’t want to be tried in New York, don’t commit crimes in New York. But he got the same due process as any other person and that’s exactly the way it should be.”
    Facts are facts, Lara.
Hair Furor, on Fox & Friends Weekends, lying cuz it’s all he does:
“I beat her. It’s easier when you win. And they always said lock her up, and I felt—and I could have done it, but I felt it would have been a terrible thing. And then this happened to me. Hillary Clinton—I didn’t say lock her up, but the people said lock her up, lock her up. Okay. Then, we won. And I say—and I said pretty openly, I said, all right, come on, just relax, let’s go, we’ve got to make our country great. And it would have been—think of it, you lock up the wife of a president of the United States.”
Seriously, how many hundreds of times did he effing say it in front of his cult, in front of a goddamned microphone, in front of a f*cking camera, and now he says he never said it.
David Sedaris, humorist and author, on the choices for president in 2024:
“I think of being on an airplane. The flight attendant comes down the aisle with her food cart and, eventually, parks it beside my seat. ‘Can I interest you in the chicken?’ she asks. ‘Or would you prefer the platter of shit with broken glass in it?’ To be undecided in this election is to pause for a moment and then ask how the chicken is cooked.”
I don’t need the shit and shards of glass, do you?

Dr. Anthony Fauci, talking to CNN about the GOP and MTG coming for him:
“It’s a pattern, Kaitlan, that whenever somebody gets up—whether it’s a news media, you know Fox News, does it a lot, or it’s somebody in the Congress who gets up and makes a public statement that’s responsible for the deaths of X number of people because of policies or some crazy idea that I created—immediately, it’s like clockwork. The death threats go way up. So, that’s the reason why I’m still getting death threats, when you have performances like that unusual performance by Marjorie Taylor Greene in today’s hearing, those are the kind of things that drive up the death threats because there is a segment of the population out there that believe that kind of nonsense.”
As I saw on Facebook yesterday, please remember that Fauci graduated from Cornell and Large Marge can boil corn.
    That’s all.
Jamie Raskin, Maryland Democrat, speaking to Fauci at this latest hearing:
“[The GOP] is treating you, Dr. Fauci, like a convicted felon. Actually, you probably wish they were treating you like a convicted felon. They treat them with love and admiration. Some blindly worship them.”
    Snap.
    photo
Ken Buck, retiring GOP Representative, speaking to Jon Stewart:’
“I think the problem right now is everybody gets their news sources in silos and they just keep getting reinforced with certain ideas. I went to a neighbor’s house the day after the 2020 election, their flag was upside down. There’s a lot of life out there besides arguing about nothing and telling lies, and so I made a choice to go enjoy what I’ve got left. I left because I couldn’t tell the lie. The 2020 election wasn’t stolen. The January 6 defendants aren’t political prisoners. I think there is a leader out there that will unify and help unify America, and it’s somebody who has great morals, somebody who has great leadership skills. A John F. Kennedy. You know, I probably wouldn’t have said this 20 years ago, that he was a great hero, but you look at what John F. Kennedy did in terms of bringing the country together during the Cold War and moving us forward. There is somebody there that will help America heal and move forward. I know it’s not Ken Buck and I know that it’s not one of the two candidates leading the country in the polls right now.”
I think it’s Pete Buttigieg and if we can keep Hair Furor out of power, we can get a President Pete in 2028.
So Vote Blue for the future.

And I don't know if I've mentioned it, but I find it truly delightful to know that Steve Bannon is finally going to jail. There are complaints about how long he has until he has to report to the "Big House." I'm wondering if he'll even show up. His nature is to be combative and noncompliant. He's a loud mouth who seems to believe his fat gives him authority. It doesn't. If he does show up, he'll be in jail up to the election, though I'm of the opinion he would rather become a fugitive from the law. Martyrdom has too little honor for Stevie.

This Is The GOP & Why You Need To Vote Blue

Here we are again, with a wee taste of the lunacy, racism, criminality, and bigotry and hate inside the GOP and it’s going around the country …

    CONGRESS

Eight Senate Republicans, head cheerleader Mike Lee of Utah, and Mean Girls J.D. Vance of Ohio, Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, Eric Schmitt of Missouri, Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Rick Scot and Marco Rubio of Florida, and Roger Marshall or Kansas, are vowing to oppose major legislation and Biden nominees led by the Democratic Senate, following the guilty verdicts for Hair Furor.
These eight traitors to their jobs and to the Constitution of the United States say they will oppose any increases to non-security related funding, Biden judicial and political nominations and “expedited consideration and passage” of Democratic legislation.
Of note, it was just last year when heavy rains left thousands stranded in the mud at Burning Man that Head Cheerleader of Hair Furor Mike Lee declared it to be God’s punishment for the attendees’ supposed promiscuity. But he has no problem with a serial adulterer, sexual predator who fucks porn stars and then lies and cheats to cover it up.
    THAT’S the GOP.

    FLORIDA

The Florida Board of Education approved several tweaks to the state’s standards for teaching social studies but left intact controversial pieces on Black history that sparked widespread backlash last year.
Florida’s new teaching standards include the same requirement that middle school students learn “how slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit.”
In addition lessons surrounding the 1920 Ocoee massacre and the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre will be labeled as violence perpetrated “against and by” African Americans.
Racism in the Sunshine State will be taught in schools.

    TEXAS

University of Texas at Austin professor Daniel Bonevac, and others in the state university system, claim that “pregnancy is not a disease, and [therefore] elective abortions are not ‘health care.'”
He also claims that pregnancy is the result of “voluntary and consensual sexual intercourse”—never rape or incest—and students should not be allowed time off to get abortions. And if the students disobey and miss class for abortion care the professors should be allowed to flunk students.
Look at it like this: a college professor forces a female student into a sexual relationship if she wants to pass his class but if she gets pregnant and has an abortion, the professor can flunk her.
Texas needs to abort these asshatted professors.
Also in Texas ... according to the newly-adopted Texas Republican Party platform homosexuality is an abnormal lifestyle choice and so there should be no granting of special legal entitlements or creation of special status for homosexual behavior, regardless of state of origin. The GOP also says they oppose any criminal or civil penalties against those who oppose homosexuality out of faith, conviction, or belief in traditional values.

I saw that Republicans are again going to push tax breaks to corporations and wealthy individuals as part of their election package for 2024. For those who don't know, this is called Trickle Down Economics. They've pushed through Trickle Down 3 times, and every single time it has started failing after a short period time. It lasted the longest under Reagan. By the time he was leaving office, however, it was well into its death throes. While it does initially pop up the economy, neither the corporations, nor the wealthy, invest enough of their tax breaks to keep it healthy. Payroll expense is a terrible thing for corporations, and when it comes to creating and keeping jobs, or hitting their financial goal, money's always going to win out. The problem is that all those people they hire don't spend enough money to keep the buckos rolling in, which means companies begin to slowly cut their workforce and cancel those orders for durable goods. They're still getting their tax breaks, which is all they cared about in the first place.

As expected, Hunter Biden was found guilty of lying when he bought his gun. Dumb ass.

And Martha-Ann Alito evidently has been going full MAGA vocally, screeching about how she'd like to see all Pride flags burned because she can see one from her house. This woman is filled with sinful hatred. It wouldn't surprise me if she was praying for another inquisition, one in which she could personally, torture and killed those her unchristian heart despises. I'm also betting she doesn't ask for forgiveness too often; how could someone who loved God as much as she commit sin.

  32. #2882

  33. #2883
And for those who have long term memory failure, Republican presidents always leave the economy in a mess. Which of the 3 Republican presidents on this list passed Trickle Down Economic packages that failed?

I'll give you a hint. George H. Bush was not one of them, though he inherited an economy that was a shambles because Trickle Down was failing so badly. Giving tax breaks to wealthy individuals and corporations will never be successful at stabilizing the economy because those people and groups are only interested in their own bottom line. At the first sign of a problem they beginning cutting their expenses [[mostly payroll expense) to save their bottom line. Of course, they're still getting those tax breaks. The only president on this list who actually took away those breaks away from corporations was George H. Bush and it cost him his bid for re-election. At a campaign rally while running for his first term, he infamously made the comment, "read my lips, no new taxes." Of course, the economy left to him by Ronald Reagan was in such a shambles, Bush desperately tried everything. The bottom line? Never trust a Republican with the economy

Florida’s fascist Governor, and Gogo dancer, Ron DeSantis declared summer to be Freedom Summer in the state and said all state bridges must be lit red, white, and blue, while banning any bridge from displaying Pride colors.
But seventy community members is San Marco had their own idea and gathered together to display their own version of Pride by lighting up the Main Street Bridge with rainbow colors. I imagine Miss Ronnie stomped around the governor’s manse in his Gogo boots until Casey could have him sedated.
The other day I put a fried egg on my Croque Monsieur to make it a Croque Madame and the next thing I know JK Rowling is yelling outside my house.
    It’s not funny cuz she’s a transphobic b*tch.

  35. #2885
Martha-Ann Alito, traitorous insurrectionist wife of traitorous insurrectionist Justice Samuel Alito, has surprisingly come out against Pride flags:
“You know what I want? I want a Sacred Heart of Jesus flag, because I have to look across the lagoon at the Pride flag for the next month. [But my husband’s] like, ‘Oh, please don’t put up a flag.’ I said, ‘I won’t do it because I am deferring to you. But when you are free of this nonsense, I’m putting it up and I’m gonna send them a message every day, maybe every week, I’ll be changing the flags.’ They’ll be all kinds. I made a flag in my head. This is how I satisfy myself. I made a flag. It’s white and has yellow and orange flames around it. And in the middle is the word ‘vergogna.’ ‘Vergogna’ in Italian means shame.”
What a sad lonely, hate-filled pathetic woman with a flag-pole up her ass.
And, you know, if she had a few gay friends there might be some better hair and makeup going on in that photo, not to mention the clothes that look a little Bewitched Endora hand-me-down-ish.
Pete Buttigieg, Transportation Secretary, flag-waving loon Martha-Ann Alito’s condemnation of “shameful” Pride flags:
“I’m often reminded that the most important thing in my life—which is my marriage, and my family and the two beautiful children that my husband Chasten and I are raising—that that marriage only exists by the grace of the single vote on the United States Supreme Court. That expanded our rights and freedoms back in 2015 and made it possible for somebody like me to get married. And, you know, Supreme Court justices have an unbelievable amount of power and—by the nature in the structure, the Supreme Court—there’s no supervision over that power. They are entrusted with it literally for as long as they live. And part of that trust is we expect them to enter into those enormously consequential decisions that shape our everyday lives with a sense of fairness. I also hope that most Americans can understand the difference between a flag that symbolizes … love and acceptance and signals to people who have sometimes feared for their safety that they’re going to be okay—and insurrectionists symbology, I’ll just leave it at that.”
Funny that the gay man is open and honest and decent, and the so-called Christian is the bitch trying to decide how people live.

And for those who didn't know it, yesterday was take your felon to work day. How do I know? Because the Orange Anus was back in Washington speaking to the Republicans of Congress. One of those present in that closed session said it was like listening to your drunken uncle. Afterwards, he spit out a short word salad speech and then left, which was rather unusual for him.

As expected, the Senate voted against in vitro fertilization. Someone asked why, if these people claim to be pro-life, they can be against IVF. Well, a lot of it has to do with their Cracker Jack Crazy religious beliefs. They believe babies should be made the natural way, and not rely on science. Yep, that's right. Science is the big bugaboo here. In order for there to be science, people would need to ask questions, and questions are verboten. For them, it's all about belief. Sort of like the dark ages, you know?

  37. #2887
Josh Shapiro, Pennsylvania Democrat Governor, on The Felon:
“All they hear from [him] is a whole bunch of whining about this country. And I think [he’s] got to quit whining, got to quit trying to divide us. I mean, consider this … We’re producing more energy than anyone before in this nation. We have the strongest economy in the world and we are beating China for the first time in decades. More people went to work this morning in America than any other time in our nation’s history. So, I got a message to [The Felon] and all of his negativity and whining: stop shit-talking America! This is the greatest country on Earth and it’s time that we all start acting like it. The good people of Pennsylvania understand that this is a great country, understand that we got a whole lot going for us. And not it’s time for us to continue this path of progress that Joe Biden has laid out and not go back to a negative time, not listen to the whining of the former president, and instead, focus on a positive future for all of us.”
    Simple as that, y’all.
    CAST A GODDAMNED VOTE!
President Biden, on the verdict in Hunter Biden’s trial:
“As I said last week, I am the President, but I am also a Dad. Jill and I love our son, and we are so proud of the man he is today. So many families who have had loved one’s battle addiction understand the feeling of pride seeing someone you love come out the other side and be so strong and resilient in recovery. As I also said last week, I will accept the outcome of this case and will continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal. Jill and I will always be there for Hunter and the rest of our family with our love and support. Nothing will ever change that.”
That’s how you parent; you don’t cast blame, call the trial rigged and the jurist’s liars and the judge corrupt.
You stand up like a grown-assed man and not some flabby orange child.
Adam Schiff, California’s Democrat Representative, speaking at yesterday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing on The Felon’s “political persecution.”
“I wanted to begin by quoting the jury in the Manhattan hush money trial. Guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty. This was what the jury pronounced. Unanimously on every count. My Republican colleagues don’t really contest [his] guilt. This is the fascinating thing; their argument has been he should never have been prosecuted. Where they falsely claim it was a political prosecution. They falsely claim it should have been a misdemeanor, not a felony.”
    Sheep goosestepping for a felon.

And it is Sunday. That means many phony Christians will go to Church and be told that it's okay to pass judgment on others for oh so many varied reasons. Well, that's not quite right, they're going to be schooled in what is acceptable, the decision to pass judgement encouraged by their church leaders, perhaps because they believe it gets the closer to godliness. I find it amusing that many of these Cracker Jack Crazies believe they're doing God's will when there's nothing in the Bible that tells them to do this. It doesn't say much for God's strength if piddly human beings have to force his will upon others, does it. Perhaps this is one of the reasons for the great De Churching.

I saw this yesterday and thought it so appropriate.

And we're getting closer and closer to the first debate between the Orange Anus and Democracy... wait, that's supposed to say Biden. Honestly, that is what's at stake. Do we want cultists running the country, or do we want to participate in that decision making process. Republicans do not want our opinions, so putting them in charge will make our voices mute. They are the party that desperately wants to say "shut up, we're in charge," and they want to dictate every little aspect of our lives. They want everybody to be indoctrinated into the cult. If we're Republican zombies, we're not going to argue, we will see everything that hasn't been zombified as prey waiting to be killed and eaten. All you need to do is look at the cultists to see how brainless they have become, just like their leader.

This Is Why We March: "Now that my secret is known, I'll forever Rest in Peace."

Col. Edward Thomas Ryan of Albany passed away June 1st at the age of 85 on the first day of Pride, but before he died he wrote a message to his loved ones:

“I was Gay all my life.”
The decorated Army veteran earned a number of prestigious medals throughout his military career and was brother to Rosemary, Cornelius, Joan, Bernadette, and Joseph Ryan, and was a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews.
But all his life he kept that secret; his family says he was just a very private person. But Colonel Ryan decided not to take the secret to his grave, and wrote a message for his obituary, finally coming out to the world as gay and telling everyone he knew about the man he would be buried next to: Paul Cavagnaro.
Ryan and Cavagnaro met at some point in his life and enjoyed a 25-year-long relationship, even though he kept his romantic life a secret until he wrote:

“I must tell you one more thing. I was Gay all my life: thru grade school, thru High School, thru College, thru Life.”
He went on to tell them about Paul, and how he died in 1994 due to a medical procedure gone wrong, before saying it was his wish to be laid to rest next to his love.

“I was in a loving and caring relationship with Paul Cavagnaro of North Greenbush. He was the love of my life. We had 25 great years together … I’ll be buried next to Paul.”
In his parting message to his loved ones, Ryan said he didn’t have the courage to reveal his sexuality in the past because he was afraid of being treated the way others like him were treated:

“I’m sorry for not having the courage to come out as Gay. I was afraid of being ostracized: by Family, Friends, and Co-Workers. Seeing how people like me were treated, I just could not do it.”
“Now that my secret is known, I’ll forever Rest in Peace.”
Over the course of his 85 years of life, Ryan served with the Army’s 10th Brigade and received honors including the National Defense Service Medal, the Defense of Liberty Medal "For participation to the State following the attack on America, on 11 September 2001," the Conspicuous Service Medal and Commanders Citation for "Service Above and Beyond the Call" from the division of Military and Naval affairs. He was also a retired firefighter and chairman of the Vietnam Veterans/Agent Orange Committee for the American Legion; he was co-owner of local radio station WHRL-FM in Albany and was also a chef at the East Greenbush American Legion Post #1231.
Colonel Ryan donated his body to the Anatomical Gift Program at Albany Medical College, which would allow med students to study using his body though eventually, his body will be cremated and buried beside Paul’s grave.
His nephew Joseph Ryan said the family knew about his relationship with Paul though they didn’t really talk about it:

“They would go on vacation. Once he did retire, he would take a month off, and they would just put down where they wanted to go, any place in the world. So, we kind of knew, but he wasn’t one that would come right out and say anything … Our family isn’t one that tries to say anything about people. He was quiet, but he was bold. It’s been inside him all this time.”
The family sees the significance in Ryan’s coming out during Pride Month, a time for celebrating the LGBTQ+ community’s history, achievements, and ongoing fight for equality and acceptance.
A number of comments poured in after Colonel Ryan’s obituary was posted:

“Thank you for your service Sir. I´m active duty serving in Japan at this time. Tomorrow, I will be hosting a Pride observation at our command and I´m elated to tell your story. We are fortunate enough now to be part of a military that lets us serve our country in full authenticity. We serve proudly in your honor. Thank you for all you have done.”
“It brings me peace to know that you and Paul are together again. May eternity together be beautiful. Rest in pride.”
“Thank you for your service, and I´m sorry that the world was not always a nice place for us. I hope you and Paul Rest In Peace together and are able to watch the world change.”
"Thank you for all the good you´ve put into the world. I´m sorry that you had to hide who you love. May you enjoy eternity with your beloved, and that you are accepted as you are by so, so many people.”
"Your story touched me deeply. I am so sorry that we live in such a judgmental world that you had to hide who you were and who you loved. I hope there's a way for you to know that sharing your story – no matter when you did it – will be helpful to others. Thank you for all your service."
"You have nothing to apologize for. I'm so sorry that you couldn't live your authentic self but are now able to join your beloved Paul. And I'm sure that you'd never imagine you have so many friends."
"God made you. God never makes mistakes. Your soul is eternal and you will be remembered for the courage that brought you to share your truth. Eternal peace."
"I know this wasn´t your intention, but the reality of what you did is that you showed the world how amazing a gay person can be. As the mother of gay children, I am forever in your debt. Bless you. May you rest for eternity in the arms of the love of your life."
"I am a 74-year-old gay man and grew up living under the same stigma as Edward did... I am so glad Edward had the love of his life, Paul, for 25 great years and now for Eternity. Bless you both."
This is why we fight and march and celebrate Pride and stand up and speak up. We do it for people like Colonel Ryan.
Thank you for your service, fighting for a country that made you feel you couldn’t be yourself.
Rest in Pride. The march goes on ...

Aren't American politics funny? The Republicans are going full steam ahead as if they're going to be running the country forever, and the Democrats keep getting things accomplished. This has been a problem for quite some time, especially for the Republicans, who only seem to pass legislation that restricts a woman's health, or provides a tax break for the wealthy. They definitely want a female serving class, one that never turns down their sexual advances, and is happy to raise a brood of children, all the while working a part-time job to help pay for those children. I once posted about this on Zitter, and someone responded saying women shouldn't complain if their spouse didn't get a well enough paying job. Think about that for a while. Especially if you're a blue collar worker. Trump's cultists may think he speaks for them, the truth is quite the opposite. He's more like the pederast saying "you want a piece of candy, little girl," and they fail to understand what type of lollipop he's talking about.

    the Great Commandment

This will piss off some geographically placed people, but so be it:

I hate the South so fucking much.

    SO fucking much.

The Louisiana governor signed into law that all public schools who receive state funding [[how is that not all of them?) are required to post the 10 Commandments in each classroom.

Not each school. Each Fucking Classroom.

Let's dispense with the separation of church and state, since there are so many factions who don't understand it, believe it or want it. Of course, they only want their religion recognized.

This I find hilarious. Christians believe in the 10 Commandments.

Last I checked, Christ was a New Testament guy. The 10 - which conveniently don't actually physically exist - are Judaic.

I bet if you told the Louisiana governor you wanted to hang Jewish writings in each school he'd shut you down in a minute. But I get it: people are stupid. And no one is even following these commandments. None of them.

Dollars to doughnuts they can't recite them, let alone in order. They certainly don't live by them.

    This just grinds my gears.

And yes, I'm sticking with the South thing. There aren't many states in general passing laws to actually help people or expand services to anything - but the South in general [[Arkansas, Alabama, Florida Louisiana, Texas - for starters) are hell fucking bent on restricting everything.

They do no good. If it ever gets the slightest amount of repair, it will not be in our lifetime. ....and that is even if a child under 10 is reading this blog. Their lifetime either.

This is all so fucking heinous it makes me want to vomit.

Here's hoping someone challenges this state and this douche. Though SCOTUS as it stands now isn't going to be of much help.

The right wing crazies are now attacking none other than American sweetheart Dolly Parton.
cnnAnd why are they doing so?
Because of love. More specifically, Dolly’s acceptance of and love for the LGBTQ community.
Conservative writer Ericka Andersen wrote earlier this month in the Federalist that Parton’s support of the LGBTQ community was “false gospel.” Andersen specifically said that Parton’s invoking her Christianity as the reason she is inclusive, is wrong [[the writer refers to being LGBTQ as “immoral sexual behavior” and “unaligned with God’s vision for humanity”).
The post caused a windfall of right-wing vitriol aimed at Parton. cnn
So it’s wrong to follow the example of Jesus himself and love everyone.
And hater Andersen slings her arrows now during Pride Month.
