    Betty McGlown of The Primettes

I found this very interesting since so many previous comments and statements have listed Betty McGlown as passing a lot earlier than 2008.

Such a tragedy that her gravesite is unknown.

    Can you believe that ?
It is so horrific that not even a blurp mentioned when you passed.
This is probably due to the fact that she is the least mentioned of any of the ladies. Although never a Supreme, she was a founder of the group.

Maybe Ms. McGlown was cremated and her ashes are with her family.

Thanks for this; strange, unless you are a current superstar, you are mostly ignored these days. Even the heritage artists end up having to do their own publicity and make their own stories and we've seen the messes that can cause.

Strange so little was ever said about Ms. McGlown.

Perhaps her husband and kids wanted it to remain private and within the family.

Just because it says burial unknown, that doesn't mean she wasn't buried anywhere... it just means the person who wrote the article doesn't know where.

Yes, you guys are right of course; there is no reason for any of this to be public; it's a private issue, she was a private person and they may all want it left private.

    Still, it was interesting.

With all due respect Rob and I mean that sincerely, Betty was not a private person. She was just never contacted by no one except I believe Florence.

This is sort of off-topic, but I'm a forum member and contributor on that site. I was surprised to see this here.

I suspect what Rob might have meant was that Betty McGlowan was not a public figure. She was in the Primetttes when they were a local singing group. After she left she never became a celebrity or a polticial figure. She went on to lead a private life. I'm not familiar with Findagrave, but is it a site devoted to the grave sites of well known people or are regular people's graves pictured as well? The site sounds like something that would appeal to the morbidly minded.

Well knowns and everyday people are listed. Most use it for genealogical purposes.

It is said that betty was the only one who could keep diana's ego in check even though they hadn't done anything at that point!

Betty did come out to see Mary Wilson in Rochester Hills, MI back in 1987 when she was on the second round of her book signing [[the paperback edition).
