Amazing that this thread has reached 3,000 pages!
I don't think I've even looked at it since its first 30 pages or so. But that humongous EXACT number caught my eye. I suppose it's a threshhold that could be celebrated in some way. "A Thousand Stars" by The Riveleers was a favourite song of mine during the early 1950s. I can't remember any song with The words: "Three thousand" in its title, or even the body of its lyrics. And, I imagine it might be a difficult task to form a chain working towards it from the latest post, in any case. And we'd probably be off of this historical page before that hard work could be accomplished in any case.
Just some thoughts of mine on a day on which I could spare a couple minutes on a topic that has interested me only very sporadically over the years.
