The Supremes' Successors As Girl-Group Standard Bearers Are ....

... I'll go with Destiny's Child. Although I only know one song [['Survivor') it seems to me that their name is mentioned most often when post-Supremes girl-groups are referred to.

    Can't deny! I'm always surprised/impressed by EV's long shadow.

For me En Vogue were probably the most talented but they were a nightmare to deal with.
Destiny's Child are probably more iconic due mainly to Beyonce, whether you happen to be a fan or not.

For whatever reason both groups were under [[or over!) my radar when they were hit-makers; don't know why. But both names do seem to turn up frequently, even these years after their chart heights -

Anything you can share about En Vogue? Talent was there, and Cindy and Terry are still carrying on with the group, but it seems Dawn and Maxine have problems with them and vice versa. They reunited briefly some years ago, but that didn't last long.

For kids growing up in late 90s, The Spice Girls could be viewed as their iconic girl group as for a couple of years there they were huge.
