Ummmm... yeah. I kept confusing his name with Keith Richards, as I'm unfamiliar with this Cliff Richard. He sings ok, but for the first half of the song I wondered, "Okay, when does Freda come in....?" LOL She sounds and looks great, though!
Yea I enjoyed Freda!
Freda really needs some plastic surgery.
I really love this song,[[Saving my love)Cliff Richards and Freda Payne sounds great together, this could be a hit for them.
Please stay positive
Enjoyed this very much!
They both looked great and interview very well!
That was very nice. Freda looked as beautiful as always!
That was good.
The song was nice, I hope the song is a hit for them. Freda looked great as usual. She was just honored by the city of Los Angeles.
When I first saw this, I thought Freda had changed ethnic groups, and is now Japanese. LOL!
I understand that Cliff Richard is a major music artist in the U.K. Am I right?
Yes, Marv... he's sold 150 million records total. Every bit as big as Madonna is over here. The song sounds GREAT, and they both are in good voice. It's nice to see Freda in the spotlight again, I think this tour will be great for her. Cliff has always sang soul songs, but he just sings them differently... he doens't sound like a soul singer doing them, but somehow, they work:
Thanks Jill. I do remember his song "Devil Woman" but I did not know he has had a huge career. Get down Cliff Richards! LOL!
I'm glad to see Freda in the spotlight too, I hope this song does well for her and I agree 150% with marv2 she is one of the most beautiful in the world.
I didn't expect to like this, being that I'm not a Cliff Richard fan at all but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Nice tune and Freda
I've loved for decades! If she ever writes her life story I will cut in line to get it. Freda, you reading this? Huh, baby?....
If not for a group of moptops known as The Beatles coming along and changing the course of British music in the mid 60's, Cliffs group, The Shadows may have gone down in history as the greatest rock band to come out of the UK. Look at UK charts from the early 60's and you'll see that The Shadows dominated the British music scene so far as bands are concerned. After getting cold cocked by The Beatles and the other invasion bands, Cliff embarked on a highly successful solo career. Probably a much wiser move than trying to compete against The Beatles, Stones, etc with his own band which became outdated virtually overnight.
An autobiography would make a great read, I'm sure she has many stories to tell . Btw, Miss Freda will be at the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe this week starting on Wednesday, for all of you who are lucky enough to live in that area.
I hear you, Stu. I wasn't knocking Cliff Richard and I take your word for this musical history lesson. It's just that as a black
New York city kid growing up in the 60's I didn't know squat about what was happening in Britain musically [[or socially for that matter) until the so called British Invasion and even back then I was more impressed with Lulu than John,Paul,George
and Ringo. I'll youtube the Shadows later to get an idea of what they sounded like...
