    Motown Corporate Christmas Greeting Cards

Does anyone have any corporate Motown Christmas cards in their possession? I am trying to determine exactly how many were issued over the years.

I have 2 in my possession. The first is from 1977 and it has a brick fireplace on the front with a 33-1/3 record with an M going down the chimney/fireplace and 8 flying records coming towards the fireplace. It is blue in color.

The second is a gem. It is from 1981 and it has a head on shot of the Motown Museum with gold records in the snow and santa leaving on a sled. It is simply beautiful.

    Anyone have any others? Thanks.

Here is the 1981 corporate Christmas card issued by Motown, just as woodward ably described. Isn't it cool? I'm glad Motown had not forgotten Detroit despite having been LA-based for some time by 1981.

So did Motown issue such cards other than in 1977 and 1981?

Just wondering if any new members of the forum have any insight into whether any others were issued. Annual reminder.

I seem to remember a few different Motown corporate Christmas cards issued in the 1970s. I thought they had a new one every year.

Just wondering if any new Forum members have any knowledge into whether any other cards were issued. Annual reminder. I also obtained the 1975 that Johnny Raven alerted me that was for sale on eBay. It has a Christmas tree of LPs on the red cover and the inside has a collage of maybe 50 or 60 Motown artists. It was obtained from a friend of Tom DiPierro's who donated it to me free after I committed to buy it on eBay. They lived together in Greenwich Village and we reminisced about Tom and how important he was to Motown.

Just a inquiry if anyone can supply information on cards other than those that were mentioned. I now have three in my collection. There must some others out there that some collectors have in their collection that they could share with the forum members. Thank you.

Hopefully since we have new forum members since my previous posting, perhaps some of the new members can help with this effort. Thanks. Just wanted to reactivate it again.

Wanted to bring this to the forefront again so perhaps we can come up with some additional cards that were generated over the Golden Era of Motown.

Christmas 2020 is just around the corner. Let's start this thread again and maybe there are some new members who may have some of the blanks that are missing. Fingers crossed.

Mary: It was 1975. I also have this one in my collection. The three that I have have been covered in this thread: 1975, 1977, and 1981.

Hopefully some fans can come up with other years than these. Certainly there must have been more.

    Christmas 2022 is rapidly approaching.

Just a request for new forum members who may be able to locate some additional cards besides the three already confirmed: 1975; 1977; and 1981.

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

This isn't a Motown corporate card per se, but Motown related. I would assume this card was probably sent with the promo copies of the Miracles Christmas LP and made out to the DJ or station the copy was being sent to in 1970.

It's getting to be that time of the year again, let's make another effort in an attempt to locate and show pictures of others that may exist and have not been shown.

    HELP!

I recently acquired this art department transparency/negative that's from something Christmas related... not sure if it's part of a trade ad or maybe a Christmas card. The person I got it from had another one with an artist's head taped on the secretary figure, but this headless one was the one they were willing to part with, lol.
