I remember this being the hot, new record at my parent's house party when it was released. It got played multiple times back then and everyone would jump on the floor to dance to it. Great record, great memories. Thanks, Brandosoul for observing it's anniversary!
Put it on today where people can hear it and watch. They will tap their fingers, snap their fingers or flat out dance!
What a stellar album it is:
Our man; member here the late great Bob Babbitt was on this tune
Not quite the record that made Stevie an icon but it showed great insight into his future especially with the title track and his cover of We Can Work It Out. Never Had a Dream Come True and Heaven Help Us All were classics too.
Signed, Sealed & Delivered certainly has moments with four major hits [[and some good 'deep cuts' like "I Gotta Have A Song", "Don't Wonder Why" & "Sugar"). It's also the last studio album that Stevie Wonder would make in the traditional Motown way since he'd successfully move on to writing & producing the albums that would make him a Legend in the '70s after SS&D .
