Bill Withers/Anthony Hamilton
Sansradio, it took me a while to make the connection. First of all, when both achieved some amount of success earlier in their individual careers, I am certain people could see that each would be around for the long run. Listening to them in their various interviews, they are both straight forward, no-nonsense and speak in a matter of fact type way. Neither appeared to have an ego and came across very genuinely down to Earth. Like you could have a beer or a drink with them and not trip on them being famous.
Now when Bill or Etta sang, it was pure, raw talent. To me, I always got the impression from both of them that they had the attitude of "This is my song and I am going to sing it dammit!". They were not concerned with how they looked or moved on stage and people loved it! Going a little bit further, if you look really close at each of their faces [[across the forehead and the eyes.....) they look like they could have been related. Those are just some of my observations. I loved them both and wished I had had the opportunity to meet them in person.

Easy one: Disco legend, Vaughn Mason/Larry Blackmon - Cameo.
One other thing about Etta James and Bill Withers [[other than I just learned that they were both born in 1938). Their childhoods and the way they came up caused them both to mature much younger than the average person.
Farrell-curtis mayfield.
Sarah Vaughan/Anita Baker
Gladys Knight and Curtis Mayfield.
Chaka Khan and Carolyn Crawford. Belters!!!
Dionne Warwick and Jean Terrell.
Peabo Bryson and Roy Hamilton....sorta.
Patti did a whole comedy skit in the middle of a live performance where she not only
playfully shaded her own duet partner, James Ingram, but did mocking impersonations
of Michael Jackson, Anita Baker and Michael McDonald. It was hilarious. I had it on a
cassette tape which I don't have anymore but I thinking it has to be on youtube somewhere...

You found it! Thanks sansradio...
I've been searching youtube for any indication that Bill Withers did indeed record with
Al Green as someone mentioned. No luck yet, tho. There was singer who fronted a
Sam Cooke tribute act many years ago and who sounded just like him but I cannot
remember his name to save my life. After 60 memory becomes a sieve, I guess...
A few more easy ones. These guys were either produced by the former or were labelmates.

One more:
Curtis Mayfield/William DeVaughn [["Be Thankful For What You Got").
I used these two in another of my threads: Teddy Pendergrass/Jahiem. Teddy was asked once what he thought of the comparison. TP: "I'm not impressed. "
William Clayton/ Al Green/Johnnie Taylor
Luv Machine [[The Miracles) /Sylvers
As Marv wrote earlier, Marvin Junior followed by Teddy Pendergrass.
Teddy referred to Marvin as “my musical Dad”
My musical brothers would be Teddy and David Ebo who replaced him in the Blue Notes. This was Ebo’s only solo hit:
