Motown Museum secures additional funding for it's expansion.

This is certainly great news. Hopefully the expansion and fund raising will be finished in 2019 --- to commemorate Motown60.

It is happening. I knew it would. This great project will no doubt spur further economic development nearby. The Motown Museum has come a long way from the mid 80s when they were scotch taping photos to the walls, etc. Thank you Woodward.

That's exactly how a friend of mine described it in the mid 80s....album covers and pictures taped to the wall.
By the time I visited in the early 90s , it had taken on the appearance of a proper museum, led by Dr. Rowena Stewart [[ I think that was her name).
Clearly great changes have been made, and more to come.
