I had to watch it a couple times at first. At first it was a bit disturbing at how good they were and how they had even the slightest nuances of the Supremes down. When I watched the second time I notice that it wasn't just Diana, they made the other two resemble Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard right down to their skin tones and they way Mary would move her head to the beat. I just created a thread about these great kids. Check it out, their take on the Bee Gees is amazing!

    What!!!!
    Where's the indignation! The outrage!
    The injured feelings!

How dare they try to actually look like the SUPREMES when doing an imitation of them!!

You mean because they respected them enough to even try to get their skin tones and overall looks correct?

Let's not get off the subject of this thread about the program "Breaking the Band". There is another thread about the TNT Boys here. Thanks.

Was it me or did they take a lot of the choreography from the appearance on Ed Sullivan?

I hated the reenactments. That scene of the Primettes going to audition for Motown was horrible. They looked like what the Primettes might have looked like if the story was about four 30 year old women who once had a singing group as teens and decided to give it another try after having babies and husbands. It was too much.

Of course it was no surprise that Diana Ross would be painted a villain, but what struck me as very interesting is that the recordings played of Flo's actual voice are all about Gordy, what he said, what he did, and how she felt about him. And it's obvious that she was still in a place of extreme dislike for that man. Nothing about Diana Ross. So why do some continue to tear her down but speak so highly of "Mr. Gordy"? Makes no sense. Funny, but still makes no sense.

    I don’t get it either

Tabloid journalism at its worst. It was totally disrespectful! I will only give one example: Florence "dying" in hospital bed.

I pray that her family does not suffer over this production.

It shows how the group was torn apart and flo expressed her outrage by disliking gordy.diana was no saint in this situation and insisted on t name change once flo was out of the group and taking her solo away was t last straw. You heard don foster say her performance was excellent.

Her family members nicole and nephew both acknowledge her last days. Its what happened and no she was not poisoned thank god.
