G.C. Cameron "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday" 1975:
Mary Jane Girls
Popular Commonly Played Hit: "In My House"
Uncommonly Rarer Rest: The rest, but I presume that's according from region to region, big city areas, and if region has a decent classic soul / urban station around such. Mine used to, but not anymore, but I still remembered when I first heard "All Night Long" on it, its groove was easily confusable with what a more nineties-like girl group would do, than being ahead of its time in the early eighties.
And, I remember the first time I listened to "Boys" on an urban mix station, its beat just as melding with the contemporaries it would play during the late nineties, I listened on a bus, brightly smiling at downtown Chicago's sights when I was thirteen.

Popular Commonly Played Hit: If there is one, depending on region / big cities / decent urban / classic soul station, "There'll Never Be".
But, there's always the memories. Such as, first hearing "Love Over And Over Again". What captured and continues to capture the most about this one that makes it as special as it was / is, was Bobby DeBarge [[was it Bobby?) with his high falsetto pleading climax of "Love Me, Love Me, Love Me, Love Me, Love Me, Love Me, Love Me, Love Me, Love Me, Love Me, Love Me, Love Me, Love Me"....

Ok, enough of this sad stuff. Let's get Happy!
Smokey Robinson - Happy [[Love Theme from Lady Sings the Blues)
The Marvelettes "Beachwood 4-5789" from 1962!!!!!!!!
One of my favorites!~ The Four Tops "Something About You Baby"
Without The One You Love -- the Four Tops
Don't You Miss Me A Little Bit Baby -- Jimmy Ruffin
Stand By Me.-- Jimmy and David Ruffin
Some good ones Caliluv. Never hear those songs played but they are very good.
for me....my top 25 is......
1. Would I Love You - The Miracles
2. It's A Good Good Feeling - The Miracles
3. I've Got A Feeling - Four Tops
4. Third Finger, Left Hand - Martha & The Vandellas
5. Everything Is Good About You - The Supremes
6. If My Heart Could Tell A Story - Edwin Starr
7. Put Yourself In My Place - The Elgins
8. Show Me You Can Dance - The Miracles
9. Farewell Is A Lonely Sound - Jimmy Ruffin
10. Keep On Loving Me - Frances Nero
11. Just A Misunderstanding - The Contours
12. Behind A Painted Smile - The Isley Brothers
13. Don't Look Back - The Temptations
14. My Love Is Your Love Forever - Miracles/Isley Brothers
15. He's All I Got - The Supremes
16. All I Need - The Temptations
17. Since You've Been Gone - Four Tops
18. S.O.S. - Edwin Starr
19. Take This Heart Of Mine - Marvin Gaye
20. I Guess I'll Always Love You - The Isley Brothers
21. I'm Still Loving You - Kim Weston
22. Little Darling [[I Need You) - Marvin Gaye
23. You Lost The Sweetest Boy - Mary Wells
24. Sweet Thing - The Spinners
25. Baby Don't You Go - The Miracles
Definitely one of those "unsung" rockers! In structure, "Something About You" creates a tension and drive in the verses, backed by the great Funk Brothers, and the release of that tension on the chorus, "There's something about you, baby. That's makes me keepa lovin' you!"
Thanks Marv. I play those a lot
I Can't believe no one has come up with The Spinners 'Bad, Bad Weather' [[and even London get's a mention lol)
Marvin Gaye "That's The Way Love Is" -1969
Love that Marvin Gaye track - marv.
Now I also like a bit of Syreeta - Harmour Love
Syreeta was another one that should have had more hits. Why she didn't is a mystery.
I only heard this on the radio in New York a couple of times, but it quickly became a favorite. Mary Wilson "Turn Around" from 1996.
WOW! DAMN? LOL!!!!! You go boy! LOL!
I'm not really familiar with Syreeta's music .... so when you say she should have had more hits ... well, you gotta put out the qualifying music !!!
Can you provide examples ??
Perfect use of the classic Motown sound !! Top Twenty Pop , Top Ten Soul.Marv2
One of my favorites!~ The Four Tops "Something About You Baby"
and this , a NUMBER ONE SONG in 1972 , seems to have all but vanished :
Sure. For example just about any cut from her 1980 album, "Syreeta" should have been a hit. Here's one for you to sample:
Also from the 1980 album "Syreeta" "Let Me Be the One". She could give Minnie Riperton a run for her money.......
Last one for now. Her take on the Chantel's big hit......"He's Gone"
The Miracles "Do It Baby" from 1974:
From October 1967, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas "Honey Child"
Edwin Starr - "25 Miles" 1969.......
