I don't know about you, but some songs are musical snapshots for me, bringing back memories of friends I had and things I did. That's what this song does when I hear it.

Jerry,i hear ya brother..i love george benson too and like you i still wish he would just play only because he tends sing more than play,but of course he is a very good vocalist and a jazz legend.

I saw George Benson at Red Rocks in Colorado in 1983. I went to a lot of shows that year and his was one of the best! He is extremely talented to be able to sing so well and play so well.

Jerry, when that album came out I use to wear a green V neck sweater like George had on the cover people use to say I looked like him.......LOL

The Brothers Johnson had a classic for every Black kid who appreciated a great house party. This song was played at all of them.

Our school's dance team......The Scottettes use to burn up the floor at half time to this song. I use to burn up the floor at the Palladium in NYC back in the day to this one. I know everyone was watching me and my girl! LOL!

Hey marv,true story,when that classic was out,i was trying to reunite my old singing group and i had to learn that lead being a first tenor and it was hard singing it because of the pitch,but i was young and cocky...i killed it!!

Aww JAI! You were in a group man? First tenor is difficult for almost everyone. How long were you guys together? I use to sing along with that classic every time it came on the radio. It was number one for like 7 weeks in the Detroit-Toledo area. A girls group from my high school performed it very well at our Spring concert in 1976.

I was in a group for about a week before we broke up over who was going to be the main lead singer! LOL! Our song was the O'Jays "She Usta Be My Girl" and "It's You That I Need" by Enchantment.

Welcome Tony to Soulful Detroit! I actually remember hearing this record. A DJ in either Detroit or New York use to play it early in the mornings. I can't remember who it was though. Great recording. Thanks.
