A very unique version of Free Your Mind.
A very unique version of Free Your Mind.
Today finally received the vinyl remaster 40th Ann. of Love To love You Baby -Donna Summer
here it is!
Back of album!
That's what's up. Any extras?
No , it is a straight re-issue only on vinyl!
Good deal.
jack020-just received this nice 3D version of Mothership Connection.
Cool! I sold all my original USA Parliament LPs last year [[with another 1000 or so mostly pop LPs) because I moved to a smaller house. I kept all my soul, Motown,[[smooth)Jazz and some pop and soundtrack LPs.
Then I bought a new record player this year and now I am buying new and old vinyl again!

Nice original copy.
Cool Timmy ! Is it in good [[listenable) condition ? Very often these James Brown records have been played and played again.
Very decent condition actually. Didn't skip once.
It's amazing that many of thes classics are in mint condition considering how old some of them are.
A lot of these classics are pressed again due to the popularity of vinyl these days!
There is a record plant here in Holland in Haarlem, that was sold by CBS [[Columbia in US) when the cd took over from vinyl. Some dutch guys bought the plant and now it is pressing vinyl 24 hrs a day for a lot of big and small record companies.

A really nice addition to the P-Funk collection.
Wow ! That's a great find Timmy, I didn't even know such a record existed !
Can you send some pictures of the label ?
This is the label.
And this is the back cover.
Thanks Timmy. 1976, it must be a very interesting interview.
Even more interesting is that George isn't on the recording. It's actually the voice of Archie Ivy, George's longtime manager.
Archie used to do phone interviews posing as George back in the day.
Parliament
Motor Booty Affair UK pressing.
Record store day yesterday
A lot of anniversary type albums being released.
Fine by me because the quality of the vinyl used these days is much better than on most of the original versions. Especially from the period when there was an oil crisis.
The only problem is that new vinyl now is much more expensive!
Last saturday was Record store day and I spent around 300 euros but hope to recoup some of that after selling my extra copies of the Bowie coloured disc of The Man Who Sold The World.
The results of Record Store Day. Well worth the trip.
