Yeeeehaaaaa. We were in Paris for Christmas and an internet friend in Paris connected us with a soul club there. They adore Motown.

Wow, the sound quality on the Marvelettes is ace!! Have you worked it over?

  12. #12
Gladys Horton on Forever? She does a fantastic impression of Wanda Young!

  13. #13
I have recently "rediscovered" your brilliant remix of Frances Nero's "Keep On Loving Me". I've sent it to my soulie friends in the UK and, amazingly, quite a few of them had never heard that song and LOVED it. Maybe they just forgot to remember it??

Snakepit would be honored by your choice of Soulful Shack as he named his U.K. internet radio show after it.

John, would you please give a shout out to Patricia Hall in Toronto. She's a first-timer tonight. Thank you.

Even though the Fantastic Four also recorded Loving You Is Hurting Me, David Ruffin owns this song with his stellar performance

  17. #17
    Totally agree Carole.

To my shame, I still have a blind-spot for "Where Did Our Love Go".

John, is this your extended remix of Runaway Child?

  28. #28
Carolyn Majors was Leonard Caston's wife. Motown released their concept album "Caston & Majors" in 1974. No singles from the album were released in America, but in the UK three singles were released, the first of which "Child of Love" becoming a minor hit.

John: As always, thank you very much for the fantastic tuneage last night. I'm sorry I disappeared without thanking you last night, but I had to deal with a very sick dog. BTW, that Tom Moulton mix of Runaway Child, Running Wild was friggin' incredible. Was it ever released? Thanks again for a wonderful night of music. Mike Wheeler

I don't suppose he'll post it on YouTube? It's a shame that such a fabulous remix will not be enjoyed by others.

John, thank you for talking to Tom for us. Greatly appreciated.
