Have you heard Marlena Shaw's version from about the same time? While the 5D's version is "cool and breezy", hers is closer to "steamy hot."

I LOVE that song by the 5th! Also "California My Way" which was one of their obscure songs as was "On The Beach" which speaks to summer too! "Stoned Soul Picnic" speaks to summer as well!
