    RIP Jack Brokensha

Another jazz great who played on Motown records has passed away; here is the Detroit Free Press article: http://www.freep.com/article/2010103...scene-stalwart

What a bummer. My whole family knew Jack and my brother worked with him often back in Detroit. RIP.

The Freep obit mainly concentrated on vibraphonist Jack Brokensha's experience as a jazz musician, but there was a Motown connection although I'm not sure what recordings he was featured on. I think he alternated with Dave Hamilton on some sessions
