"Nightflight" Tue Oct 5, 9P-12M ET/USA-"Letters...We Get Letters......

    Attachment 1438

....We get Stacks and Stacks of Letters!"....
But I'm going to play these remixes anyway!

Hey folks....midnight johnny here...TOTALLY in lower case tonight. I've got some more great tracks that I've tampered with....merely to make them a bit longer and to show off some of that great instrumentation. Motown, of course, will be the main course...
but I'll have a few tricks up my sleeve....but I am NOT a WITCH!
So join me tonight...for all this and more...on "Nightflight"...
on WOMR 92.1 FM/WFMR 91.2 FM and streaming live worldwide in digital stereo at www.womr.org

    Thanks!
    John

PS...and remember....Harry Weinger is joining me again on "Nightflight" on Oct 19!!!

No it's not 105 degrees today! That was last week, then three days later it was raining! Today it only made it to 64 degrees. Looks like summer and the hot weather I love is over for this year. Where are my mood elevaters?! LOL!!!

    John,

Santa Ana's are winds that blow through the city from off the desert and thus very hot. That's what the 105 degrees was about. But it was a weak Santa Ana. The whole summer was mild, temps were often 10 to 15 degrees lower than normal. We only averaged in the high 70's this summer. It was kind of a drag [[yeah, I know I'm spoiled!). The weather will still fluctuate through out Oct. This weekend is expected to be in the high 70's. It's coldest here in Dec/Jan. Too much information? LOL!

I used to try - unsuccessfuly - to hold that long note with Marilyn and Florence toward the end of California Soul when I was a kid.

  12. #12
    Marilyn and Florence

    Monroe and Henderson?

  13. #13
No - Marilyn Miscovitz and Florence Finklestein. They rock.

  14. #14
The rain was going sideways one day last week.
The turnpike is ultimate boredom. As you just said, the GSP is nicer. IMO much nicer.

The Tammie set is £11.99 pre-order at amazon uk. I'd guess about £4 shipping at the most. Should be under $25.00. Go figure.

  38. #38

Wow, that's a great price. How can they offer it so much cheaper in the UK?

I know I'm paying more to get it sooner. But this set is an exception to my general fiscal responsiblity. I want it yesterday! LOL!!

  42. #42
Hi Jim. I don't know. I got CFOM #4 and the Isley Brothers Anthology for about $28 delivered. Motown Around The World: The Classic Singles is also £11.99. Sometimes when you put an item into your cart and go to check out the price drops. I've never seen it go up.

I guess I am helping the struggling US economy by buying it directly from hip-o for a lot more money?

Nothing wrong with ordering from the UK if it's less. I've done that a number of times. It's a world economy. I ordered from Hip-O for selfish reasons! LOL!!

  45. #45
No, nothing at all. I'm just trying to make myself feel better about paying a lot more to have it sooner.

Now I need to get the Wilson Phillips Christmas cd pre-ordered on US Amazon.com.
