It's hard to believe that Prince's "Purple Rain" album is 30 years old as of today [[June 25). The album is regarded by many music critics and fans as the one of the best and most influential of the 1980s.

What are your memories of that album and that time?

That Summer of 1984, I was working brutal overtime in a terrible job with a boss who [[it was later determined) suffered from bipolar disorder. The music of this LP was cathartic, and helped make a wretched period of my life a little more tolerable.
