It's interesting. The remix doesn't really showcase the exuberance in her vocal. It should be way more upbeat and dynamic, with rhythmic peaks and plateaus. Instead it just kind holds a steady pace start to finish.

the strings, the original piano work , the hand claps, clavinet, funky guitar, are all gone . The horn punches pulled back . Ashford and Simpson minimized.

Dumbed down to pleasant, even-tempered lounge music, but that's what people stand around on the dance floor and wave their arms to these days.

Absolutely. This remix is way to bland and safe for my tastes. Much preferred the other two.
I have said it before.....so i will say it again. Whenever i hear a cover of a Diana Ross song such as The Braxtons etc it never ever sounds as good. Not even the great Aretha on "It's My Turn". The Ross voice has a kind of magic that can tranform even the most routine of songs. It's easy to see why so few singers attempt them.

As I mentioned above, I love the new Boss remix by Eric Kupper. It is muted, yes, but there are soooo many layers going on at the same time. I think it is brilliant.

This is the best remix of The Boss I have heard. I like the Eric Kupper remix, as well as the 1990s remix, but Dimitri From Paris' version is the best in my opinion.
