We saw Gloria Gaynor join Miss Ross in Newark - it was a fantastic disco moment in history......Miss Ross was quite gracious and supportive of Gloria and loved sharing her stage & song - even helped Gloria find the key when she realized it was too low initially

I'm so into the great music--I just took a scissors to my pajamas and added a little fish-netting here and there.

I love the videos I have seen. I would have loved to have been there for that moment. Tone and I saw Diana at the Los Angeles Amphitheatre at the very beginning of "The Force..." Tour. We lucked out so cool. Stevie Wonder was in the audience and joined Diana on stage for "Force". They just tore the place up! Then Rhonda and whole bunch of other people joined them on stage. People were just blown away. I felt so fortunate to have been there for such a rare performance. Just awesome!

That's Why I Call You My Friend was commissioned by the Emperor Of Japan because the country loved If We Hold On SOOOO VERY MUCH. I believe the song can only be released in Japan but don't quote me

You're right Gregg. It was first just a 3" single in Japan and then later added to two other Japan only collections.

    SHE'S THE IDEAL GIRL

That's when Ross spins 'round and 'round in the multi-colored Baskin-Robbins dress--had all the flavors . . . er, colors.

Joseph the emphasis on album cuts [[particularly the post 1981 ones) really debunks the theory put forth in the Ross bio books that Diana's material and career suffered once she gained artistic control. These songs were very savvy choices in their time of release.

Even as a long time fan I have had to grow into some of Diana's projects. And as I was putting this together I realized how over time I had really grown in my appreciation of the RCA years. I seem to enjoy them much more now than I did it the time. She recorded some really wonderful during that time. Songs that have stood the test of time.

I got some CD's from Iceland or Denmark that had I'm So Happy on them, otherwise it was cassette only. I remember because I must have sent out 500 replies that it was "cassette only" and I then had orders for 502 copies of that cassette. LOL Oh, the days of licking stamps, envelopes etc....
