    arr&bee,
..... check the threads on Jamal Trice & High Inergy to find out some more about the guys who worked with the Major on his Motown LP and also to discover how some of the songs he cut for the project were assigned to him.
The project was obviously a 'piece meal' affair as some cuts seem to have originated / been inspired back in Chicago [[the Otis Leaville / Major L produced tracks), whereas the Kent Washburn produced cuts were most likely recorded in LA [[though Kent up till him signing his Motown contract had worked out of St Louis).

After checking further credits on this LP, it seems that it was laid down at both P.S. Recording Studios, Chicago, Illinois & Paramount Studios, Hollywood, California. So it was both at Windy City & LA based project.
William Bickelhaupt [[who co-produced some of the tracks) also worked with the Temptations, Hi Inergy & Jermaine Jackson whilst with Motown. After that, he continued his association with Kent Washburn on some gospel projects they worked on.

Can someone please upload some sound files of the best cuts on that album? -or links to You-Tube videos? I've never heard any of them.

Those 2 cuts are pretty good. It's means something when I [[sort of) like a '70s cut. I like very few songs from the '70s, especially after 1971.

I do remember this album being advertised back at the time, but I did not get to hear any of the cuts until years later.
