That was a great show. Great memories. I can remember Melba singing "I've Got Life".
Melba Moore, a complete Diana Ross supporter and friend!
Clifton Davis wrote Here Comes the Sunrise. Naturally he and Melba would sing a song he wrote. I also remember reading an old Jet magazine in which Melba said she liked the new Supremes with Jean Terrell. Melba also sang Then We Can Try Again on a TV show.

I wasn't sure if she recorded it, but she sang it on some TV show. You can't find Melba Moore's Mercury albums on disc.

I was told that Clifton wrote Never Can Say Goodbye for The Supremes Mary Cindy and Jean, but Berry Gordy gave it to The Jackson 5,i think Clifton and Jean were friends at that time.Melba Moore should have been a Superstar, she had IT,Please stay positive

Clifton was not friends with Jean, he was friends with the Supreme's road manager. He wrote "Here comes the sunrise" for the Supreme's and they recorded it. He never offered "Never can say goodbye" to the Supreme's.
I remember this summer replacement well. Weren't they in a relationship at that time? I'm told that Clifton Davis & I share a common ancestor going back at least 4 generations.
