It's already June 7th in much of The World, and I'm shocked to see that we had no thread to remember how important The Allies' [[US. Canadian and British armies, navies and air forces were in eventually winning World War II.

The half of my family who survived Nazi domination of Europe, would have been murdered [[like the others), had The brave US, Canadian and British soldiers not stormed up those heavily defended Normandy beaches. We remember all veterans on November 11th and May 30th, but we should also remember those who fought so bravely [[and so many who died for our freedom) on June 6-10, and afterward.
