The Supremes - Mary Scherrie and Cindy singing the National Anthem twice

In these days of singers 'over'-singing anthems what a great pleasure it is to hear the Supremes sing the National Anthem simply, in tune and full of rich harmonies.

There are two versions - the second [[which starts at about 2 minutes) is without any musical accompaniment and for me it is one of the greatest renditions of the Star Spangled Banner at any sporting event.

Two fabulous renditions. What a lot of talent they had. Someone had asked recently about the accapella version. Listen to it quickly because I imagine it won't stay on YouTube long.

The most amazing part of the acapella was that they were supposed to sing to a musical track, but Pedro messed up and didn’t have it so The Supremes made the best of the bad situation and the show went on, and quite impressively too. And the performance is further proof that Mary and Cindy could more than stand on their own as group singers.
