Wow, I'll need to troubleshoot that. They only seem to have 5 out 42 releases on there!

Yes, please. I noticed it as well, but wasn't sure there wasn't a reason why they weren't available in the US.

Some excellent selections Ian - thank you and your colleagues for keeping the flag flying with great soul compilations and physical CD releases.....and at great prices. Is Demon still supplying HMV with new stock? I'm not sure of the situation - is it a matter of companies like Demon still supplying, or HMV being able to buy in stock outside of the main new releases.

This may be of interest to UK readers only, but I went into HMV's so-called flagship store on Oxford Street today and have never been so depressed in a record store in my life! All of the racks were only half full, with little or nothing of any real interest to be found in the soul section [[or what is left of it). The DVD's were even worse - the only Downton Abbey title they had was the 2011 Xmas spewcial; none of the series nor the 2012 Xmas special, and nothing whatsoever on Inspector Morse or Lewis. So I'll problably search either ebay or Amazon for my missing titles....

If you're in Oxford Street, Sister Ray round the corner in Berwick Street is always worth a visit.

I don't quite know why "Detroit Gold" is featured in the Pop R&B and RnB and Soul rankings rather than Soul like the rest of 'em but hey ho.....

But we have nos 6,7,8, 14 and 16 in Top 20 Soul Chart with less than a week to go, so we're in good shape! Hopefully you'll hear 'em on the radio over the next week or two as well.

Bought and listened to 'Dance Floor Revolution' today. Wonderful stuff, well chosen Ian! And such outstanding value. I'm really pleased to have the 7" versions of Jeff Perry and Bill Harris on CD, which I've had on vinyl since they came out.....and then to be able to pick up on great tracks like those by Damaris, Sharon McMahan and Ronnie Dyson among others.

Ian - please let us have the track listings for next month's batch of Backbeats as soon as you have them!
