Kind of is "Same Old Songs" when it is obvious it is another "Northern Soul" Tamla-Motown release - where "Ghost In My House", "The NIght", and "One Day In Your Life" is "anthemic" over in Britain regional-wise, and, had it been a regular US Universal-Motown release, US people would be scratching their heads on such obscurities.

I received this 4CD set for Christmas. It is an interesting mix of songs and their versions. For example it has the [[awful) version of Ghost that starts with the backing singers. Mono Stoned Love 45 version, stereo single edit of River Deep, stereo TOAC with added drums, stereo WGO album version and mono Get Ready.

Noticeably absent is Behind The Groove which was very popular in UK clubs in its time.

Overall mastering is reasonably good, just the intro to Baby Love is clipped. The spoken intro to Do You Love Me is missing, presumable to free up some space for the 27 other tracks on CD1.

From a UK point of view it is a pretty good sample of Motown's singles over the years.
