When you mentioned the Surrender album I thought you were going to play "Did You Read The Morning Paper". What a nice surprise to hear "All The Befores" one of Diana's [[and Ashford & Simpson's) best.

Yes! "Going Down For The Third Time", Go, Johnny, Go!
Please, Andy & George, keep the Supremes expanded editions coming so that we can get a stereo version of the single version of "Going Down For the Third Time".
This Thursday is Susaye Greene's Birthday! and Yay for Going Down....
Hope you play Glass House's "Don't Let It Rain On Me" next week.
OMG! Love his version of Cloud Nine....
Temps version October, 1968 Marvin..June, 1969
Love the Billy Eckstine tune. That guy was around.
Any Mary Wells tonight? Maybe "One Block From Heaven"?
Strangest thing about Had You Been Around- a very unfamiliar composer name- Bernard Yuffy with 3 more familiar ones
Barbara Randolph's story would make a great episode of "Unsung".
Another song [[Where Did You Go) that I don't think you've posted on FB....have you??
I've enjoyed the last 90 minutes but must now get to bed...have a wonderful third hour John and everyone.
Barbara also has been quoted as saying that she was considered by Berry to be Flo's replacement and even went to Atlantic City to see the Supremes' show. Diana expressed her displeasure and Berry never pursued it further.
I really like Barbara Randolph's song, "I Got A Feeling".
How 'bout that Miracle of filler: HDH's IT'S A GOOD FEELING? Now that would feel awfully good. It's filler that was meant for more-sided things. A great dance tune, too. And a great Smokey lead performance.
Wow! Thanks Johnny! "One Block From Heaven", a true floor shaker!
How about Brenda's "A Favor For A Girl [[With A Lovesick Heart)"
Tooooooooon!! It's A Good Feeling. Is this one of your remixes? If so, please post on FB....pleeeeeeeeeeeez!
Ooo-wee, John. First, ONE BLOCK FROM HEAVEN. Then IT'S A GOOD FEELING. I'm in Heaven.
The noticeably Detroit sounding track on her only U.S. Tamla album
There really is no filler on "Right On" in my opinion, its all killer. The Loving Country is sheer perfection.....
Luv this. What is it??
After last week's brilliant Hal David tribute, I wondered how you would ever be able to follow that with something just as terrific. And now I know. It's just that simple. Simply sensational, that is. Masterful.
Hey gang: Keep your eye out for ''DETROPIA,'' a new documentary about what happened to Detroit and what might happen next. It's getting great notices.
If you have it..."One More Chance" - Jackson 5 [[ABC album filler)
ASK ANY GIRL. Gorgeous. Thanks so much, John, for all this great music.
Thanks Johnny for giving the Jackson 5 one more chance.
I agree with you about Carolyn's voice. The one thing that I sometimes have trouble with is understanding what she's singing. Sometimes her words are garbled.
"Tonight Is Made For Love" is such a beautiful song. I'm so glad the mono version is back in print.
OH NO! This show is coming to an end. 3 more hours, pleeeez John.
Ditto that texassoul - thanks for a fun filled night of Motown surprises! Have a great week all
And still room for The Marvelettes TONIGHT/THIS NIGHT WAS MADE FOR LOVE. The beauty of NIGHTFLIGHT knows no limit. Overwhelming.
WOMR needs to get a chat box....much easier to communicate during the show!
Fabulous song [[Dark Side Of The World) and Marvin's version is quite nice. I think it's on the "Lost & Found: Love Starved Heart" LP of previously unreleased songs.
Amazing how the song evolved from a simpler Velvelettes song.
Guys....I KNOW....the time has flown by....and I have so many more to play..............oh well.....
Thanks for your energy and requests and support and your class, taste and refinement....
See you next week with Freda and Scherrie and Jim!
Thanks again!
