Johnny,
Thanks for answering honestly.
Bell Bottom Blues -Theresa Brewer
You just made Methusela2 happy, happy, happy- You're quite the gent, Mr. Perrone.
Loved that Shirelles tune. Never heard it before. Oh, Shirelles, there you are! John always gets everybody to the party.

Bell Bottom Blues - Hal David- Leon Carr
The Ross -Gaye version?
When they reissued Diana & Marvin with this, I was managing a CD store and my younger employees thought this sounded like something from Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory..... It is charming but definitely not anything sonically like the rest of that LP.
Ironic, isn't it .... Hal David produced by Hal Davis...
Dionne Warwick - Land Of Make Believe!!
Johnny,
Which 4 cd box set is the Carpenter's Bacharach medley from? Neither of the A & M sets has it.
John - Thank you so much for playing this Carpenters medley .. I still miss Karen so much...
This is from the Carpenters Live at the BBC DVD I believe.... Richard won't release a live album despite allegedly taping a lot of their live shows over the years.....
There are two CDs available that are live he sanctioned for overseas though.... The Palladium one is easiest to get
It's maddening to think of the pearls that might still be in the vault on Karen.... That unreleased list from the A&M tape vaults is long although some of the material is apparently incomplete.....
Thanks for playing Dusty, John.
We definitely NEED a Nightflight dedicated to the Carpenter's.
"I Cry Alone" flip side of..........
''When You're Young and In Love''
OMG! Total surprise! And one of my all-time Julie faves! Thanks John, you are the man!
T & B & P. Thanks so much for playing that beautiful tune, John. I really did enjoy that. And your harmonizing, as well. That great song can't help but get the listener involved.
Julie, right into Sarah! You are on fire tonight my friend. Cooking! Saw Sarah live in 1973 sing this. My Mom adored Sassy and that was passed on to me at a very early age. Thanks Mom!

No, Johnny, I do not know everything... but I do remember Harry Weinger saying last week on your show that that's how Sarah Vaughn's albums were released.
Hi John
Enjoyed these first two hours very much, but time for me to get some sleep. Thanks for a great show.
John
Didn't he, Carole?! He is a gent, just as you say. The Shirelles made it to the show at last.
From "My Best Friend's Wedding". That whole performance is great. Good choice.
And speaking of Etta, Joseph, I listen to SUGAR ON THE FLOOR, BLUES IS MY BUSINESS, PRISONER OF LOVE, and SUNDAY KIND OF LOVE on YouTube all the time since your great Etta ''LC'' show. I had never heard SUGAR or BLUES before.
There is just something so special about the Dionne-Hal & Burt connection. and thanks for playing Herb...the show tonight has flown by with 30 more minutes of surprises on the way!
Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien! Another perfect addition to a fabulous show!
