Stage attire

The quick question is:

Did any Marvelettes stage attire / costumes "survive" over the years?

The bigger question is:

Where did all of the Motown acts store their attire / costumes during the "heyday"? Was there a big closet at Hitsville? The Supremes alone must have had 100's, if not 1000's of dresses, earring, shoes, etc. On tour, one would assume that they only took what was needed, plus some. But where did the Temptations and the Four Tops keep their suits? And the Marvelettes? And the Vandellas? I can't imagine each member was responsible for their own "gear". Was there a big storage unit somewhere?

Yeah some survived and were on display at the Motown Exhibit at the Henry Ford Museum at Greenfield Village , Dearborn Michigan in the mid 90's. Also costumes and stage wardrobe were displayed at Hitsville before the major renovation. Some belonged to the Original Supremes. Maybe that is why they wouldn't let Mary in that day she came over with ABC's "Primetime Live"! LOL!!!

Small bit of stage attire trivia re Supremes:

The short, very full-skirted balloon dresses The Supremes are shown wearing at an early appearance at the Apollo: Those dresses had matching coats in the same material and floral motif as the dresses. They wore the ensemble in an outdoor segment show in 1964 on The Lloyd Thaxton Show singing BABY LOVE. The coats were A-line design, clasped at the neck. But the remainder of the coats were left open to allow for the balloon skirts of the dresses. It had the effect of the skirts bursting through the coats, and the group all sort of looked pregnant. But the only thing they delivered was the song.
