"Nightflight" Tue July 17, 9P-12M ET: Jerry Plunk and a tribute to Bob Babbitt!

Hello there, my fine folks! Tonight, on "Nightflight", my friend and lead singer and drummer of Invictus/Hot Wax/HDH's remarkable band Flamining Ember....Jerry Plunk...will join me one more time to spin wax and exchange facts on his career, the Detroit music scene of the 60's and 70's and lots more!
I'm sure you know about the passing of famed Motown studio bassist Bob Babbitt...RIP, BOB! Bob was not only at Motown, but he was also played on a number of Jerry/Flaming Embers tunes, as well as other invictus/Hot Wax artists. We will be paying tribute to Bob as well.
As I was researching for tonight's show, I realized that Bob played bass on my favorite songs, artists and music....Motown, Invictus/Hot Wax/Philadelphia International/Thom Bell/ the Spinners, Bonnie Raitt, Laura Nyro...and so much more...and I didn't know....
So tonight, join Jerry and me as we pay tribute to Bob Babbitt and some of the great music of our lives...on "Nightflight"...on WOMR 92.1 FM and WFMR 91.3 FM Orleans and streaming li9ve worldwide at www.womr.org

Don't need me to talk, you say?
    Now you're asking too much.
Alright, I'm mum as an oyster.
    For now.

I sent a letter to Telma Hopkins and mentioned Jerry Plunk is on WOMR today. Hopefully she is listening.

My favorite Kitty Wells track is "Will Your Lawyer Talk To God". She was a pioneer.

It's from this albumAttachment 5192 "Especially For You". I remember it was the last song on side 2. She also did an excellent version of "Talk Back Trembling Lips" on that album. Before Loretta there was Patsy, and before Patsy there was Kitty Wells. She truly was a pioneer.

Does Jerry know if the record "Patches" by Clarence Carter was recorded at HDH Sound Studios? It has that Invictus Records band sound.
