Needless to say that this is sad news. She was a wonderful mother, wife and woman. Theirs was the model family from the memories of the stories and pictures in Ebony Magazine back in the day. Condolences go out to the children and the rest of her family. Rest in peace Mrs. Cole.

Gosh, read a lot about her in Nat's biography, how he and Nat met, married, got Natalie around 1950-ish, and could at every right have dropped him on the spot upon learning of his affair during his twilight days...but she didn't. Shared a Valentines Day with him before he died the next day, 1965. Almost forgotten about her, how great a woman she must be, until such news hits. But she had a good, long life all the same. RIP.
