I think Gladys ended up marrying a horn player who used to work with Joe Tex.

The man she married was a trumpet player, but I don't recall his name. As far as I know he is the father of her
three sons, although one of them was killed in the streets in L.A. as a teenager several years ago.

Gladys was survived by two sons; Vaughn Thornton and Sammy Coleman.

There was a third son, Alphonso. Vaughn had posted a photo on one of the Facebook groups with the caption, "...Sammy is to my mom's left and that's my brother Alphonso to her right. R.I.P. Mom and Alphonso".

Sammy was born with CP too. That was the main reason she left the Marvelettes as he needed so much care.

As mentioned above, one of her sons had passed. This was her son Alphonso. So at the time of her death, she had two sons: Vaughn and Sammy. Which she was survived by.
