Which Other Supremes Would You Like to Read About

I know that Diana has an autobiography and other books about her, Mary wrote about her life as a Supreme and Flo has books written about her as well. I'm not sure if the other have books yet. Which other Supreme would you like to read about the most?

When you think about each Supreme, they all have interesting histories in the music field both pre and post Motown. Maybe they all should do one!

I'd like to hear from Cindy. Susaye has lead an interesting life as well. Truth be told, I'm tired of reading about the Supremes and even Motown to a degree. I feel like I have read it all.

Jean Terrell has a lot of mystery about her. Does she have grandchildren? Most bios have her birthdate at 1944 yet when she joined in 1969 she was three years younger than Mary.

Susaye, Lynda, Jean........any of them; although I think their market is smaller. What would be best is a "real" autobiography from Diana that is more than "I've had such a wonderful life, a blessed life". But I'm not sure she is interested in that. It doesn't need to be salacious and I doubt she ever would be. But it would be interesting to her more about Berry, leaving Motown, the RCA Years, the marriages, Central Park, the movies, Michael Jackson, Lionel, Smokey, her relationship with the Jacksons, being separated from the other Supremes early on, Julio, Marvin, Cher and so much more.

Jean Terrell married Juan [[Jay) Thompson and had two sons by 1975.

I would like that also Fran. I'd like to read a biography on Mary and an autobiography from Jean Terrell. I hope Cindy writes her book too.

I would love Lynda Laurence to write her autobiography. I want to know about her time with Stevie Wonder, the Supremes and her time with the Former Ladies of Supremes.

Thanks for clarifying, Marv. There was a discussion here a while ago about Jean and someone stated she had never married. I guess that person was misinformed.

Do you know if she's still married? Just curious.

No she isn't married. She and Jay divorced when the boys were still quite young.

Scherrie & Lynda would, could SHOULD write a collaborative book. The stories they share, the memories they have [[good and bad) would make very interesting reading but although Scherrie is a very good writer, I doubt she'd want to commit the truth to the written word for fear she'd upset people. You're right about both ladies - their memories/collaborations outside of The Supremes could make a book in itself!

She was divorced a good while ago as Ivyfield mentioned. Scherrie Payne is the only one of the Supremes to my knowledge that never legally married.

Correct. She had a long affair with Lamont but she ended it because [[in my words, not hers) some men can't be faithful. Nuff said. Scherrie is a very headstrong lady who's Detroit upbringing and smartness is still very much in tact.

Carlo how much do you want to know? LOL! I mean like some of these ladies have been married multiple times. Scherrie had a long term relationship with the late Ronnie Phillips that produced her daughter Shoshanna. etc, etc.

There are also some un-pretty stories that could be told as well, but I personally don't think WE need to know everything. What are your thoughts?

I'd say by today's standards the various Supremes had pretty tame intimate lives

Would love to know all about Jean, I'm sure that her story would be most interesting.

Lynda was married to Trevor Laurence at one time. Did she ever re-marry? I also always wondered why Jean was a hairdresser with a voice like that....not that there's anything wrong with being a hairdresser. Maybe she just wanted out of the spotlight/showbusiness for awhile? She seems to have drifted in and out of the singing career. I'm always hoping she'll be back. Also, does anyone know anything about Cindy's son?

Here's a nice shot of Cindy with her son David in 2005 attending the Rhythm & Blues Foundation Awards:
