Lightbulb Gladys Knight and The Pips Sing Motown Girls / Girl Groups

When Gladys Knight and The Pips were at Motown, they recorded many tracks that we fans associate with other Motown girls and girl groups. I am trying to come up with a comprehensive list. Here is the germ of a list for us to complete. Please add you ideas! ...And thanks!

    1. Every Little Bit Hurts [[Brenda Holloway)
    2. Keep An Eye [[Diana Ross and The Supremes)
    3. Is There a Place [[In His Heart For Me) [[The 70s Supremes)
    4. The Day You Take One [[You Have To Take the Other) [[The Marvelettes)
    5. A Bird In the Hand [[The Velvelettes)
    6. It Should Have Been Me [[Kim Weston)
    7. Didn't You Know You'd Have To Cry Sometime [[Diana Ross)

Hmmmm, as for Number 7 on your list, it's certainly NOT Gladys Knight singing "Motown Girls / Girl Groups" - it's THEM singing Gladys ...or, it's whoever, singing Ashford/Simpson --- take your pick!!!

Another is I'll Be Here When You Get Home [[Diana Ross).

Nope, 'Ain't No Sun Since You've Been Gone' is a Gladys original - recorded Oct 66.

Thanks -- so far -- fellow fans! I like all of the suggestions. I was looking for tracking by Gladys Knight and the Pips that I can associate with other versions by Motown girls, so all of the above "overlaps" are of interest to me.

    Keep 'em coming.

Interesting note: Martha Reeves and the Vandellas and Gladys Knight and The Pips - No tracks!!??!! Hmmmmm.....

No, & not really any Marvelettes either as the Miracles version of 'The Day You Take One [[You Have To Take The Other)' was recorded first as was Gladys's version of 'The Stranger'.

    Quite correct.

And not The Supes & Tempts' "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me" as well - since that version, in itself, is a cover of Dee Dee Warwick's own late-1966 smallish U.S. hit, written by non-Motown/Jobete songwriters Kenny Gamble, Jerry Ross and Leon Huff --- on Mercury Records.
