    Levon Helms passes.....

    It has been reported that sometime over the past hour or so, Levon Helms died today after a long battle with cancer. The drummer for The Band was 71.

    God bless the family of Mr. Helm. He is free from pain and in the heavenly kingdom.

    Oh! for the wonderful love He has promised,
    Promised for you and for me,
    Tho' we have sinned He has mercy and pardon,
    Pardon for you and for me.
    Come home, come home,
    Ye who are weary come home;
    Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
    Calling O sinner come home.

    Praise Jesus,

    Roberta

    The first two Band LPs are among my favorite albums...they were an amazing act. RIP, Levon, and thank you...

    Best,

    How sad, I just spoke with William Bell who was going to be singing with him in June, maybe that will turn into a tribute night now.
