Question for Harry W. re Tri Phi/Harvey Ownership

Harry: I would deeply appreciate it if you could advise SDF MT readers the status of the Tri-Phi/Harvey masters. Did Motown ever acquire them and as a result does Universal now own them? Will they sit in the vaults and never be released? There seems to be a lot of speculation as to the ownership of these so hopefully you can give us the DEFINITIVE answer. Thank you.

We were told previously, that Motown did NOT "inherit" the Harvey/Tri-Phi/HPC/Messenger masters with the 1963 "amalgamation/buyout", and had to purchase the rights to "That's What Girls Are Made For", individually, to place it on their "16 Original Hits" Album in 1963. But, we are unclear as to whether or not Motown bought all those masters from Harvey and Gwen years after the "merger".
