Bootsy Collin's just tweeted that Bobby Womack was battling Pneumonia in the hospital! no info on his condition however! Keep him in your prayers.

Unfortunately, the diagnosis seems to be leaning toward colon cancer.:

Only just watched his Unsung last night. Didn;t know he'd already had treatment for prostate cancer and suffers from diabetes. All my hopes are with a true original, a man with a sound all his own.

My mother just told me about this tonight. Bobby is very ill.

He was released from the hospital today following a successful treatment for pneumonia. He was recently diagnosed with colon cancer, and is expected to undergo surgery at a later date. Hopefully, it was caught in time to treat successfully.

His new CD, The Bravest Man In The Universe is being released in June. This is the first single from the CD

'I Can Understand It' was the very first soul record I ever bought, love Bobby Womack to bits, last saw him at the Jazz Cafe in London in 2011 and he looked very frail, please get better Bobby we love you.
