Golden Gate Groove - The Sound Of Philadelphia Live In SF 1973

I've been lucky enough to get an early copy of this new CD by Sony/Legacy that contains a newly discovered tape of a live set recorded in SF at the annual CBS Records Convention at The Fairmont Hotel on June 27.
While I am not usually a fan of live records this set has me spellbound not least because it apparently contains the only live perfomance by MFSB performing The Theme from Soul Train and Freddie's Dead.
Also featured are Harlod Melvin with a killer version of The Love I Lost, The Three Degrees with the then new album track, Dirty Ol' Man, Billy Paul's wonderful Me and Mrs Jones and the Ojay's closing the set with rousing renditions of Back Stabbers and Love Train.
A great set and worth worth looking out for.

Paul, I have this cd already since the beginning of February and it is quite cheap at Amazon UK!
