I've wondered myself what happened to many of them. I had that Chee and Peppy 45
and like a whole bunch of mofos thought Spoonbread was Michael Jackson undercover.

Before or after the Soul Train Gang, Gerald Brown joined Shalamar. From what i vaguely remember is that in Shalamar's Unsung-ep or
another tv-special was explained that at one point Gerald seemed to be demanding more money than the other singers, but Dick Griffey
wasn't hearing that and replaced him for Howard. Jeffrey somewhat assumed that Gerald has been waiting for that salary-raise ever since.

Dorothy Moore had some involvement in Chee-Chee and Peppy...I think she was one of those two. She used a LOT of pseudonyms back in the day.

Peppy's real name was Dorothy Moore but from what I understand it was a totally different Dorothy than the one you're thinking of, Mark...

Lou Courtney was over in the UK to perform at the Cleggy Soul Weekender a few years back [[6 or 8 ?).
He was still in good voice and looked very well for his age.
BTW, Lou recorded way back in the 60's [[Imperial, Riverside, Popside, Verve, Buddah) as well as in the 70's [[when he was with Rags & had releases on Epic/ RCA).
Was he also a member of the 5th Dimension when they were signed to Motown ??

In 1975, McCoo and Davis, who married in 1969, left the group to do both collective and individual projects. They went on to have success singing as a duo with "Your Love" and the chart topper "You Don't Have to Be a Star [[To Be in My Show)". McCoo also served a stint as the host of the TV show Solid Gold. The remaining trio carried on with new members, and nearly had a hit in 1976 with the LaRue-sung "Love Hangover"; however, Motown issued Diana Ross' own version shortly after the 5th Dimension's hit the charts, and hers soared to the top of the charts. Strangely enough, the group signed with Motown not long after, releasing two albums in 1978. R&B singer Lou Courtney was in the group briefly in 1978 and 1979, Joyce Wright joined in 1979, and Phyllis Battle joined in 1988.

Nice " INFO on the 5th Dimension in the 70's ........." , I didn't know about the "Love Hangover" info.
Some more groups that I thought of were The Presidents ,The Lost Generation and Skip Mahony and The Casuals.
