What to see in the Big D!

SDF'ers, I need some advice. I'm booked on a daytrip into Detroit in couple weeks. I've got about 8 hours. What's a must see/do in the Motor City in order to get the true flavor of the city?

The Motown Museum, record shopping at Bob Mays' house, LaFayette coney island, check out a Tiger game. Of course, there's always the Heidelberg Project and if you hit Detroit on a wednesday, you can check out Dennis Coffey at the Northern Lights lounge.
