All Alone Am I - Brenda Lee
This was the very first 45 I purchased. I was ten. Still have it. 1962 was a very good year for music. 1963 even better. Those were the days my friend . . .

Reflections [[extended stereo mix) - Diana Ross & The Supremes
Flings - Pearl Bailey
Let’s Go Up - Diana Ross
Farmer's Boy dates back to the 1800's. As a folk singer herself Melanie would likely have been exposed to the song. Lyrically they're dissimilar but I could easily see where Melanie could have been inspired by the title. And used that as a jumping off point in creating her song.
Wait for the Magic [live] - Al Jarreau

The record that started my obsession with both girl group and also Phil Spector recordings.

Where girl group meets soul, the strange title in the US charts intrigued me long before the record was released in the UK.

Loved it from the day it was panned on "Juke Box Jury". Took me ages to find myself a copy. Baby Jane & the Rockabyes in disguise.

Not many people remember this fine girl group recording.
