    R.I.P. Dobie Gray

    I just got an email from Soul Tracks saying Dobie Gray died at 73. No cause given. Another one is lost.

    Just saw that. One has to admire any artist who can chart songs in 3 decades. BTW, I believe he was 71. RIP.

    I was mortified when I saw this on Facebook and then I came here. RIP he is with the IN CROWD in heaven now.

    The first record I remember by him was "The In-Crowd". I saw him not long after that in a teen movie, Out of Sight,
    for which he sang and performed the title song. I don't remember hearing of him again until the early 70s when
    he hit with "Drift Away".
