RIP, Hubert...he was an incredible musician and I'm glad he lived as long as he did and got to get many
of his flowers while he was still living. There are many of the older blues greats left...

Take it slow guy......One of my personal faves, from one of my personal fave bands, who I had to pleasure to meet a few years back. He was a sweet guy with a smile that could light the dark side of the moon. I play cuts from his latest "About Them Shoes" on the regular.......and Wolf's "I Asked Her For Water" is on dam near every compilation I make. "Church bell tone-ing". I could listen to him and Willie Johnson backing Wolf from now till eternity on the second Boxed set I bought after Emperors of Soul.

    Gonna miss him.

How sad! He was a great Blues Man. One of Jimi Hendrix favorite Blues players.

For all those in Chicago and nearby, Fitzgerald's in Berwyn is hosting a jam in Hubert's honor tomorrow night [[Tuesday 12/13).
