Originally from Cleveland. She cut for a number of labels down the years [[Rojac, Sureshot, Castro, Chess - under another name). Married & moved down south in the late 60's. Played live gigs all over Ohio from 1960 thru to her move. Had a 'revue' type show and included the likes of Lou Ragland & Darrel Banks [[before he ended up in Detroit) as support acts in her revue. From mid 60's onwards played more shows down south and became a regular fixture on the Miami club scene. Hooked up at times with Stax artists due to her husbands connections, so played gigs with the likes of Otis + Sam & Dave.
Made many great records, her Chess album was released on CD a couple of years back & just about all her Rojac sides will escape on CD anyday now. Hope this helps [[if you want to see a piccy of her; check out the Miami ads posted on the 'Motortowners In Miami' thread).
Blueskies ..
According to the write-up on this You Tube posting of her "I Don't Know What Foot To Dance On" she was an R&B D.J. in Cleveland.

Good record too

BTW, she moved back to Cleveland in the 70's [[after her marriage broke up). In later life [[5+ years back) she developed alzheimer's and [[if I recall correctly) finally passed away a couple of years back.
