I have my own Don Gardner story, sorta. In 1962, I was in Jr High and was singing with Wanda and the Wandettes, [[LOL!) and Don Gardner was Wanda's neighbor. He was supposed to record us but since I didn't live near them, I was ceremoniously kicked out of the group. Don't know whatever happened to Wanda as she was a foster child and I never saw her again. She had a great voice and believe it or not, she was a great song writer to be only 14-15 years old.

....... I have my own Don Gardner story .......
I do also. I got to know Don about 9 years ago when he started to come over to the UK to perform at the Prestatyn Soul Weekender.
He came over 3 years in a row in all & I ended taking him + a number of the other US visitors to the weekender across to LIverpool for a day's sightseeing. A true gentleman who is still going strong today [[despite his advanced years).
Just wish I could pick up a copy of any of the records released in Sweden that he recorded while touring there back in the 60's.
